no more snowmen, apples mini quilt, donation quilt and NEW fabrics

These fabrics are gorgeous, but I’m very surprised how large the print is, my “design” has small pieces so I wonder how that’ll look.

-The bottom yellow orange flower fabric I’ll use for backing, I had a feeling about that one so I ordered another yellow or orange just in case.

Yesterday I quilted the last of the donation quilts for quilts beyond borders

I did a large swirl all over, at least this one was straight and the edges were straight and squared off.

the backing was this flannel which was no problem to quilt on, however the edges were folded and had a stitch going down, kind of like a hem, I was able to avoid ripping it out, just thought it was kind of funny, oh well.

and VOILA! the snowmen binding got sewn on last night, it’s 100% done now 🙂

I love my scrappy backing, another blog totally inspired me to do that and I didn’t have any real white fabrics for the backing and since this was a kit, I used every last scrap of left over fabrics, I have NO scraps left, except for the left over binding strip I cut off after I sewed it on.

and the little APPLES doll quilt is done too.

I had wanted to do straight lines so i quilting this with a walking foot and my domestic machine

(the line in the middle is not wonky, maybe the fabric was a little loose?)

a nice backing, used some teal fabric from connecting threads from my last order- don’t know if I had meant it for another project, but I think I added this one as a filler to make the 50$ free shipping order.
