New version of BL115 It’s a compliment!

I recently made a new version of my pattern “It’s a compliment”

and then because I changed a few things and really liked it, I decided to rewrite the pattern!

And now with Accuquilt directions too! It’s a SUPER EASY pattern, just large HSTs and four patches!!

I made mine the small size version of the pattern 43″ x 59″ and used a solid off white, a pink print and matching purple print (more like a fuchsia I guess)

I quilted a pattern all over it called “pansies” by urban elementz

The backing is sort of scrappy, I ran out of the pink print and had a tiny bit of the purple left, then added the off white and found a pink print for most of it and added the white and purple strip down the middle.

  1. So excited when you show patterns that can use Accu Quilt. Just started collecting the dies. Newbie is all capital letters. Really wish there were a file (without me having to make one) that showed what size each of die pieces makes so you could tell from a regular pattern if you had all the dies needed or not. Any hints on that? Thanks for making all this possible.

    1. Think of a qube as a 4×4 grid, once you’ve used them a while, you’ll start to see that grid in other quilt designs and figure out what dies are for what shape, watch AQ videos about the qube set too. I’m making more AQ friendly patterns or converting old ones to include die directions too plus of course AQ has a ton of patterns on their site (many of them I wrote for them) I’ll be happy to help too if you have questions about a pattern you see if it’s die friendly or in the FB groups.
