I have finally planned our next QUBE Quilt along!

It’s a Round Robin sort of

and this time I’ll show you the EQ sketch and list which dies you need as we’ll use several from different QUBE sets

Here’s the Quilt, I named it “Traveling around the world”

It measures 48″ x 54″ when done, so a nice little lap quilt or large baby quilt

I ordered my fabrics from Connecting threads called World Traveler

Here’s the fabrics you need

Black 1/2yd (I also ordered 1/2yd for binding)

White 1 1/2yds ( I ordered 2 yds because I can always use white/beige)

Light Blue 1yd

Medium Blue 1yd

Border Blue 3/4yd

Red A 3/8yd

Red B 1yd

Yellow 1/2yd

I rounded up on my order, but I always do this, but I’m 99% sure this is right 🙂

Now to the dies!

This uses a bunch of dies

The most used is the 8″ QUBE set, shapes #1,3,4,5,6,8 (so pretty much the whole set)

Also 6″ QUBE set, shapes #2,3,4,5,6 and #14 from the companion set or use a 1 1/2″ x 3″ triangle die!

Then a few from the 9″ QUBE set, shape #2,and either #2 from the 6″ qube set or the 1 1/2″ square die (1″ finished) I did a mistake and thought we needed the bowtie die, but we won’t now.

And the 12″ set is not critical but I used dies #5 and #6, but #5 is the same as #3 in the 6″ Qube set, so you can always rotary cut the on-point #6 square later, that’s up to you.

And if you want to get some strip dies, I used the 1 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ strip cutter dies.

I don’t think I’ll post alternate blocks, but most are not hard, so you can always rotary cut if you don’t have the dies, but with Accuquilt dies, it’s just SEW MUCH FASTER and ACCURATE!

I’ll post directions here every Monday (not sure when I’ll start, maybe in a few weeks) and I’ll also post in the QUBE FB group which is a GREAT group and you can upload pics there!

I haven’t figured out how many weeks this will take. I’ll figure it out soon enough 🙂
