Don’t worry it’s not a bad word!!! It actually means to throw something or someone out of a window!
It was my oldest daughter’s favorite word for a while and I had never heard of it before then I happened to listen to a Sherlock Holmes type of book and Sherlock was smoking by a window then he defenestrated the cigarette butt out of the window! HA!
Defenestration is a FQ friendly pattern that uses 12 FQs and 1 1/4yd of the background fabric
I have the pattern listed on SALE for $8until the end of May!
You don’t have to use 12 FQs but you can use 6–half yard cuts instead!
I decided to cut 6 half yards of these new BEE fabrics I got and then the background will be black!
It should look something like this!
You get get a KIT like this from my site too WITH the printed pattern here and you get get the Bee prints, or the patriotic prints or fruity prints (which I won’t release until July 1st and the Bee ones won’t be released until Oct 1st normally) But for this QAL you can choose any of the 3!
-The Bee fabrics would be listed under WINTER-
The Kit is normally $67 but from now until the end of May it’s $55!
(The colors are shuffled around in the blocks so the finished quilt might look a bit different plus it’s just an EQ sketch)
Please buy the pattern which includes rotary cutting directions too!
and we’ll start in 2 weeks, I’m not sure how many weeks it will take, I’m guess 3-4 weeks) it’s a really EASY pattern 🙂
It sounds fun! Defenestration is also a French word, meaning the same, going through the window. Window stands for “fenêtre” in French, the “ê” is the modern typo for the old French “es”, “fenestre” ;))
