The WOB BOW is Mary and the block is a nice star block, which I thought I could change and do FPP with, but it didn’t work out in EQ7, so I printed and cut out pieces to do EPP, part of the block is sewn together already
I got my customer’s Civil war Heirloom quilt on the frame and completed the FIRST pass
It’s hard to long arm quilt this quilt when Sonja is awake, so I try to do it during nap time or when my other kids can watch her.
Otherwise I started a ONE BLOCK WONDER Christmas quilt with Jason Yenter – In the beginning fabrics. here’s the layers all pinned and prepped to cut. I had 2yds and 6 repeats in that about 11” wide, so I cut 3 1/2” strips
I let my friend borrow my One block wonder book- isn’t that typical that NOW I needed it??? no not really, I remembered the 60 degree cuts and remembered TOO that I had a ruler for that NOW! so much easier than using the regular ruler, what a SNAP to cut, and with the dog ear at the top cut off it’s easier to sew together too and know which way is UP!
It’s always FUN to iron the seams and see what it looks like!
I finished all the half hexies and pinned together and put up on the wall, I might play with the placement and also moved the upper half-hexies down to the bottom and I’m thinking of a off white inner border, might cut out some triangles for the right and left side….. we’ll see what I come up with
I think I forgot to show these goodies from Ozark fabrics as well.
an add-a-quarter ruler in LARGE, have a 6” one and sometimes it’s just too small.
And a new seam ripper where the cap picks up the little fussy threads, can’t wait to try it…. well of course I CAN wait…..
Are you joining the HEXIE blog hop??
I’m already thinking about something else again to make for it!
So what’s Sonja up to?? getting stuck under one of my shelves of course!!
Then playing with Mommy’s scrap fabrics
Then looking for toys is her “toy box”
Really digging for it!
She actually fell in head first, didn’t cry, just managed to get her head up again and started looking out the window!
Here’s some fun pics I found online again

She is too cute!!!
I am not familiar with the term EPP. I have to assume the PP is paper piecing. I like your One Block Wonder.
