New Juki QVP long arm WITH automation and then teaching a long arm class

This is basically a SHOUT OUT to Capital Sew and Quilt in Apex/Cary!

I’ve taught classes at Capital for quite a while now, and of course I always “drool” over their automated long arms! well Finally we took the plunge and bought one (I really had expected to get one in January, but I got it early!!) Thanks Dan!!

A few days before delivery Dan and I moved the old long arm into the room next to mine (my old craft room- which we had to clean up and create space for)

Kyle from Capital Sew and Quilt came around 10am I think and I helped unload and unpack some things, SEW excited!!

My old frame was 10ft, this time I got a 12ft and it FITS but just barely, I’m thinking of moving my fabric shelf out of the way.

While Kyle installed everything, we talked about EVERYTHING, it was fun and nice and Dan had taken the day off and later joined in the conversations 🙂

Here’s the Juki machine 🙂

It was around 9pm when everything was installed and working!!

Here’s Kyle and I, he was doing some cable control, while I pinned my first quilt on the leaders.

I quickly free motion quilted the quilt top and we had also installed the automation. The software is called Quilter’s Creative Touch and it’s SEW cool!

Wednesday I got to play a little bit, Thursday I finished two quilts and Friday I was busy most of the day, then Saturday I taught a beginner’s Free-motion long arm class at Capital Sew and Quilt, we had a great time! Thanks Ladies!!
