New fabrics mean new projects

This weekend I got new fabrics in the mail from Connecting Threads, The layer cake is a Riley Blake bundle and I think the ladybug fabrics are too and the heart and maybe the turquoise at the bottom too.

Well you know what that means!?

I can’t just put them on the shelf and keep them there forever!

I did for a day, then looked at them a bit and came up with ideas.

The ladybugs and hearts and some white is going to be a storm at sea table runner!

Then I also cut into the yellow yardage, the pattern is a modified pattern by Accuquilt- not my quilt but I wrote the pattern for them from looking at a picture, then in EQ now I shrunk the blocks to 6″ and added more blocks, but do you see my mistake in cutting!

I also got a shipment from Michael miller and this time they sent SPAM fabrics again, I had put them on the shelf but then figured I’d make SOMETHING and this time I cut a 6 1/2″ WOF strip then trimmed to 10 1/2″ x 3 and cut out 3 of each up to the 8 1/2″ log, the 9-12 logs are on the other side of the die, but 1-8 are nicely nestled together, I also cut a matching dark blue the same way.

This is another project for a Michael Miller’s monthly blog post, the top is actually already done!

and I just got another shipment from MMF and I’m washing those fabrics now.

(and Shh don’t tell but there’s another shipment coming from green fairy quilts too- just an impulse sale purchase)

oh and there’s another order from Connecting threads on the way too for a secret Accuquilt project!

The other day I found this on my floor, a CERTAIN 4yo girl loves to play with this measuring tape and I guess she was also cutting papers and this happened!! She was VERY sorry!!

Back to quilting 😉

  1. That Spam fabric is hilarious! It would make a cute mask too. Thanks goodness tape measures are still fairly cheap. I still have the one I used in high school.

  2. Kathleen McCormick

Oh, that is a sad tape measure now isn’t it. I am sure the little one was very sad, too.
