New die releases from Accuquilt!

Have you seen the new die releases from Accuquilt yet?

There’s a fun Dinosaur die and a Coffee and Tea die, I didn’t get to work with the dino die.

I DID however work with the Coffee and tea die!

I first sketched this out in EQ, at first I wasn’t sure what to use for the “splashes or steam” but wait and see….

 

I tried a partial teardrop, that didn’t work

I tried a part of the fleur de lis die, that didn’t work either

here’s the different ideas

Then I found IT! it’s the inside of the tea cup handle!! I cut 3 out in white felt.

Then I appliqued them down with white thread

And added the rest and turned it into a mug rug that measures 6″ x 10″

Here’s a few ideas I also came up with, the mug rug in browns

And a quilt with the cups
