New Accuquilt Dies

Did you see the new dies from Accuquilt yet?

First up is a Pickup Truck Applique die!

I made this cute baby quilt with this die and the airplane and cute car dies

fabrics are from Michael Miller

I used steam a seam lite2 for the applique pieces

On the plane I cut out part of the plane and then trimmed so it was just the wings and propeller

and appliqued with black thread around everything

Then sewed the blocks

I quilted a grid design in blue thread.

Love a striped binding!

The next die is a “tricky” one, it’s the courtyard block,

lots of little pieces and Y seams, but with the tabs and dog ears gone it was pretty easy!

I made this table runner using fabrics from Connecting Threads

I also used the 10″ QUBE to make the alternate blocks

The middle “flower” goes together nicely!

 

Then I appliqued the circle and I actually added a scrap piece of fabric on the back side too so the fusible had something to stick to.

Then careful Y seams

and lastly the border around it

a fun runner to make! (I actually made another one for them but don’t see picture of it yet, maybe it’s in their LIVE video!?)

The next die is the BIG bowl Cozy!

a die that only fits the GO BIG machine, I actually tested a die for them on the 10″ board and thought it was too small, so I’m glad they made it bigger!

I wrote several patterns for them for this die!

A holiday one, this one is made from an “orphan” block, a big nine patch cut at an angle.

You can also easily add applique inside it (before sewing it together)

I made a set with letters inside!

And here with the courthouse table runner, it makes a cute table setting.

You can also sew selvedges together on batting and cut out a bowl

There’s also a cookie accessories die, I didn’t work with this die, but it’s cute!
