I finished Green blocks of the month with different BOB dies
First I did another pickle jar, I seem to have a floral theme going on here so maybe I’ll continue that, plus I put this mottled beige fabric aside for the background for the blocks, so it should work out 🙂
Then another Green Washington’s puzzle block with all solids, light color in the center, dark on the outside and the solid white triangles, the blocks are tiny so maybe I’ll combine them with something else, we’ll see.
Then a green Chinese Lantern block with solid black background, I kind of have a light and dark rule and also that the dark should “read” solid, I now see that the pink is opposite, hmm, maybe every other one should be that then??
4 sections of hunter star sections, my plan is to shuffle each section around into a quilt.
Next is Storm at sea with grey backgrounds, I guess I don’t have a rule about the grey being light or dark
And Priscilla with white/beige backgrounds and I do have a ruler about the light and dark placements , sort of….. it’s really how the die is laid out
Next is Chimney Sweep blocks, here I used the Canva color picker thingy online and lined up the green color I had picked out and it chose the complimentary color, which is kind of funny, it’s very similar to the pink block. I probably should have chosen a more purple color, but that’s ok.
The last 2 months I did make more blocks, BUT my green scrap bin is not that full plus I ran into a problem finding background fabrics for some of the blocks, so I stopped after these blocks, we’ll see how it works out at the end of the year, maybe I just won’t make 12 blocks, maybe just 10 or maybe I’ll catch up later in the year if I get some fabrics that would work.
