When Joan announced earlier in the year that people could sign up for her and Carol’s blog hops at one time, I signed up for them all!
I’m not really a Halloween person, but this year my kids are going to a fall fest at our church and my two youngest have costumes! (I’ll show those later)
Now back to this hop, I thought I had plenty of time, then suddenly it was a week away, yikes… I had NOTHING!!
So I put my thinking cap on last weekend and figured I could probably find a pincushion design or an embroidery file with a monster on it, I found one on embroidery garden!
a monster softie file and it’s FREE!
so I figured I’d try it out and decided to use cotton instead of fleece and set up my 5×7 hoop and got to work, Anja helped pick the embroidery thread colors.
First the eyes
then more details on the eyes
then the mouth
and then added the back and stuffed it and VOILA! Isn’t he ugly, I mean cute??
Sonja named him Booger
Say HI Booger!!
He’s being shy I guess…..
If you haven’t already, hop over to the other participants of this hop!
