MMMR 2012 is done and a few more things

Here’s a few things I finished this week

My first applique block in the hoop on my brother machine, I turned into a small pin cushion (mini pillow)

I also sewed the wings on Owlivia 🙂

 Then I got these goodies in the mail

a mini craft iron for applique in the hoop- well I thought I needed that, guess I really need temporary spray adhesive instead- oh well, it’s still good to have

applique scissors

 and 40 embroidery spools- I’m sure they’ll still work on the new machine!!

 Aren’t they yummy??

Then I got this from fabric.com 

10yrs of interfacing for this T shirt quilt I need to work on, but I realized I had ordered the wrong kind!! I got sew in, instead of iron on!! oh well, I think I can use it for the embroidery machine though, we’ll see

I finished quilting and binding on the MMMR from 2012!! I love it

I also added a hanging sleeve to hang in Sonja’s room

my center block I did ruler work/straight lines

then feathers on the 1st border,

corn stalk swirls on the 2nd border

the 3rd border is hard to see but it has embroidery ON the fabric so I outlined that.

4th border has a sort of coffee bean

5th border has a leaf vine

6th border has a wavy swirl

7th border has bubbles

8th border has straight lines
