While working on the love-sew patterns and projects for Accuquilt, I like to have a leader and ender project and I decided to make a different version of my Train Ride pattern with the 6″ QUBE, the original Triain Ride quilt was in a quilt magazine years ago and the blocks are 15″! Nah… I love tiny and scraps so I got out my scraps and cut them out and sewed a bunch, it wasn’t until I made the second half of the blocks that I realized that I had swapped the colors of the corner triangles in the blocks, I didn’t want to rip them out so I just continued! Yeah I meant to do that… totally!!
Here’s my EQ sketch
Look how I “flipped” the blocks!
The quilt still ended up alright, a nice kid quilt or lap quilt is patriotic colors! I might donate it to Hospice.
It ended up being 39″ x 51″
I was able to just use a WOF for the backing 🙂
Very fun! I love the fact that you donate many quilts too. I really liked the patriotic quilt you did using the Accuquilt Storm at Sea die and was wondering if you have more specific instructions written out than what was listed in the article in which the quilt appeared. I have the die and a bunch of patriotic fabric and I think I can figure it out but thought I would ask!
It is getting harder to read your blog posts, since pop-ups keep popping up. I hate pop-ups, and tend to just click out of the post to an easier one to read.
