I got this star pincushion from Turid in Norway, for the pincushion swap!
-she’s a fellow Island Batik ambassador and used scraps for this one
Thanks Turid, it’s so tiny and those tiny star pieces are teeny tiny too.
it’s about 2 1/2” finished
very inspiring! – it inspired me for the SMALL blog hop
I also got another pincushion in the mail from Janne in Norway
I can’t believe she shipped a teacup from Norway and it survived!!
The only thing I have to “fix” is the glue that held the cup and saucer together, but I have a hot glue gun, so that’s not a problem
Thanks to both Turid and Janne!
I also got this bolt of batting and a box of insulbright from Warm and company!!
I’ve already cut into the batting AND the insulbright, I’m thinking about starting a monthly Accuquilt potholder “club” just like the QAL’s it’s free directions I’ll post and then re-post on FB…I got my thinking cap on already!
Who wants to join?
Now I have to “brag” about one of the participants of my QUBE QAL in 2017! Hannah finished her top from last year- while working on this year’s QAL still. She added this fun flying geese border and an inner border. I think this is just marvelous!!
If you haven’t seen the small items yet, here’s the list
Here’s a schedule of all the other bloggers who’s been making minis!!
Have a look!!

Thanks Bea for highlighting my little pincushion. As you know I love minis, the smaller the better. And I found some really interesting links on the blog hop. I was so inspired that I right away jumped into some sewing. You'll se later.
I like your tea cup cushion. I have made some myself, but have not been able to find a glue that will hold the cup and saucer together. I tried a china repair glue, hot glue and several others, I just leave my separate now. I'd love to hear if you find something that is really permanent.
That pincushion is definitely small. Wow! Great projects that you highlighted!
Love your pincushion! Adorable!
those pincushions are so adorable and I to am surprised about a teacup being shipped from Norway and surviving, but I'm guessing she must have packed it well if it didn't even break the handle..,
