Remember how I showed this charm pack from CT and I printed out these foundation blocks
and cut and sorted the charms
then I sewed them into the blocks with an orange/brown fabric on the outer part
I laid them out on my design wall, as you may notice I alternated having a light and dark center with the first 12 blocks, then opposite blocks on the last two rows but in reverse!
I decided against a border and just finished it like this
I quilted it in the ditch and added binding with a zig zag
a fun quick project!
That is really cute. I like the cheddar fabric that you used.
I saw a block pattern like that, many years ago, when I first started quilting, at Joann's. I didn't know about paper piecing way back then, and drew out the templates, like it said to do. What a pain, to try to get all the sides correct. It became my oldest son's graduation quilt. Then, my youngest son also wanted that pattern for his graduation quilt. I learned how to paper piece AFTER both quilts were finished.
