I’ve looked at friends FB posts from Denmark, they celebrate Christmas on the 24th and I was reminded of one thing I loved to do as a child on Christmas!
Dance around the Christmas tree and just like this old picture we had REAL candles on the tree!
(wonder how many house fires happened every year?)
In Denmark we also decorate the tree with these braided paper hearts, usually the hearts often get filled with small cookies that the kids can grab and eat. The hearts were supposedly invented by Hans Christian Andersen (just found that out by looking it up on wikipedia)
And we’d also string a garland of the Danish flag around the tree.
