I finally joined my FIRST Machine Embroidery Blog Hop!
Thanks to SewCalGal for hosting it and to Zandra at Embroidershoppe
When I had to pick out SOMETHING on the site, I had SO many favorites!
Look at THIS crazy applique set!
Or how about Kiddie Slippers?
or scissor pockets?
Now I was debating these two pin cushions…
cupcakes or a purse…… which one did I pick???
The purse!!
It was so much fun, appli-quilting!!
There’s 55 steps to this! but well worth it- most of them are the embroidery/applique part
(I’m using a 5” x 7” hoop btw)
I used my little craft iron to flatten down the fabrics, worked great!
This is the main part of the purse in the hoop
You also make the sides and flap in the hoop!
Then sew it together
Then make the cute handle with wire and beads
(I have lots of those from jewelry making)
Here’s the front and back of a GREEN version I made for Sharon for the pincushion swap I’m hosting
Two of them together!
Now Sonja liked the first one so much that I had to make her one too but made a fabric handle and omitted the button
She liked it
She would sometimes carry it on her wrist like a little lady.
Since I got this file early, I just HAD to make a few more!
These two are for friends
A friend of mine really likes the colors of the rainbow!
Genesis 9:16
“Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
Here’s the two of them together
And another last minute bag, for a blogger friend also.
How would you like a giveaway??
Zandra is giving away ONE embroidery file from her site.
1st take a look at the embroidershoppe website and tell me
which design(s) would be on your wish list! ( You might get your wish!)
2nd entry- tell me what kind of embroidery machine you have and what size hoop it uses and what file type it uses.
3rd entry if you sign up on the website
4th entry for my followers

Thanks for posting this demo. I have heard of creating an entire project in the hoop, but had never seen it done before. Now it's crystal clear!
An excellent demo. EmbroiderShoppe has a lot of beautiful designs. I'm rather fond of the 3D butterflies (among others!)
I have a Pfaff Creative Performance machine with several hoops. The largest is 360mm. It uses vp3 format
That's a super cute idea for the purse pincushion. The second I saw you had chosen that I just knew Sonja would be sporting one of her own. LOL I have a pattern which is not embroidery to make a small purse pincushion and wondered if it would be perfect for my Granddaughter as a little purse. She's got a little purse she carries around that's full of fabric scraps she's chosen and decided they are hers. I LOVE the designs from this site. They're done very well. I bought the Apron Sayings 2 set three years ago in Sep 2010. I tried to find a mini-set with some of the designs in this set I'd love to have. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear she offers it that way so I'm not sure if I'm chosen if this set would be allowed or not but I'd love to make these for my Granddaughter 219 Bugs Hairset. If not then I would choose something else if necessary.
I have a Viking D1 and late last year I purchased a Viking SE Anniversary Special Edition machine at such a great price I wasn't able to pass it up.The largest hoop my machines both would take are 150mm wide. I have a lot of hoops ranging from the 4×4 to the multi-part hoop which is 350×150. I've also got the Endless hoop to use in putting borders on things like towels, sheets, pillowcases, and blankets etc. Then my most recent hoop purchased was the Do-All Quilters hoop that has an insert to allow me to use it for thick quilt blocks or thin. That hoop is 150×150. With my software I can use any file type other than .art as it converts any of them to the format my machine uses. Normally I purchase .vp3 files.
I am already registered on the EmbroiderShoppe website.
And lastly, of course I am a follower of your blog.
