making owls

On Dec 4th I’m attending a “Nc Freedom Keepers” craft show at a church in Raleigh.

I’ve been busy making stuffed owls (they are pincushions) but I thought about the hang tag at the top, then it can totally be a Christmas ornament!

I’ve also made a few stuffed BIG owls

There’s still more I’d like to make, good thing I have stock already because I seem to want to make more but then run out of time, I have a few owl zippered pouches and want to make more, then I have the bowl cozies- got the die for that so those should be quick to make and then I don’t know what else, of course the eyeglass cases but that bin is full already so it’s all set!

And honestly, my fabric shelves are getting empty again, I know I have lots of projects in bins ready to go, some for Accuquilt, some as new patterns for me (of course Accuquilt friendly)

I got two shipments of fabrics from Connecting threads and then I FORGOT what they were for!! these 2 piles had 6 fabrics with 1yd of each and the pattern below needed 5 x 1yd, so I couldn’t remember, I thought it was the pile on the right….

then I remembered!! the 2022 QAL I’m planning- duh!! I had ordered fabrics for 2 different QUBE sizes, 4in qube on the left and 8in qube on the right!

I also finished quilting this for Anja the other day, just needs to add binding now, she has seen it and keeps asking, so I don’t know if I’ll finish it in secret and wrap it up as a Christmas present OR give it to her as a delayed birthday present?? I guess it’s up to her.

so yeah, NOT busy at all 😉

and get ready for the Thanksgiving sale I have coming up AND a December Advent Calendar!!!

  1. I’m delighted to hear you will be selling your handmade owls at an upcoming craft fair. Really good sign to see craft fairs open back up. Beautiful quilt for Anja too!
