Lotus quilt and light house

Yesterday I started cutting out the lotus flowers for the lotus quilt top I made a while ago, and cut bias strips for the stems

I used heat n bond and ironed to the back of the fabrics and then cut out on the drawn lines.

when I was about to iron down the pieces, the stem didn’t have the heat n bond on them, I thought I would pin them, but then I remembered I had bought this fabric glue and it worked great!

Here’s the result

This picture didn’t get flipped but you get the idea

another close up, now it’s time to button hole stitch all the way around

My “prego” lunch yesterday, homemade bread and hard boiled eggs with tomatoes and avocado, I LOVE avocado, yesterday I ate the two I had bought the other day 🙂 -one with lunch one later

My son has been working hard on this lighthouse project for school, each 4th grader has to make a model of a NC lighthouse, his was oak island lighthouse

“we” even added a light to it- a christmas light, the ones you have in your window!
