lotus quilt and bunny easter quilt

I FINALLY finished appliqueing the lotus flower quilt, it took a long time!

I did figure out a trick though, if I twisted and turned the quilt top clockwise before I started and started with the most bunch-y ness by the machine, as I was going, it would un-bunch more and more as I turned

see how half way thru it’s almost flat!

After that I decided to start quilting the bunny easter quilt top (table runner)

I bought this as a kit last year, I think after easter on sale, I didn’t like the scrappy look of the border so there was enough fabrics to just use one fabric.

anyways, here I figured I’d quilt in the whiskers.

I have this small caligraphy ruler and noticed it had a center point, so I lined that up with the center of the nose and marked from 20 to 50mm on each side with a chalk pencil

here it is quilted

I’ll add these pastel buttons as eyes

now the side was this triangle, what a pain to work with and then when I trimmed it too I cut it crooked, I matched up both ends and they didn’t match, so I had to trim them down more. SIGH!
