Lots of donation quilting

Last week I was at a quilt guild meeting, after not being there for 2 months.

I picked up two donation quilt tops (and batting and backings) and I already had 1 from last time

I thought this would be a neat one to practice more custom quilting, so I had fun with it

This flower one I bet was a BOM a while ago, the reds are all different but the center is all the same.

I did some custom quilting on this one too

On this simple rail fence quilt, I did an edge to edge design

all 3 quilts I had to add more to the backs as they were just a tad bigger than the top but not a lot and that won’t work with a long arm machine, but not a big deal.

I think it’s fun to quilt donation quilts, I can experiment with designs and not worry too much about the looks of them Smile

Our guild donates to lots of places… hospitals, Veterans, cancer patients, chemo patients, nicu and more. We have several big hospitals here in NC like UNC and DUKE etc.

Very nice quilting, Bea. What a great way to practice quilting and making a charity project at the same time.
