well the good thing about staying at home, is that the quilters are QUILTING!
My long arm business had pretty much died, though I upgraded to my computerized system last fall and try to get the word “out there” there’s a lot of competition around me, not in my small town, but where the quilt stores are….
This first quilt was a “local” and we did a porch drop off a pick up
Then because we can’t discuss in person, I took pictures of my screen to show designs and she actually picked this one from urban elementz called paisley playtime and I bought it for the quilt- I don’t charge extra for buying designs, it’s for my use also, so I’m just happy to add another design to my library 🙂
It was a big one!
The next one was from Kathy- a blogger follower/friend who mailed it to me
we went back and forth on design ideas too
In the end she also chose the paisley playtime!
I made her a little owl pincushion too since I trimmed the quilt for her and put in the box with the quilt 🙂
I updated my “long arm page”
If you need a quilt long arm quilting you can drop off or mail it to me and I’ll mail it back to you!
The first quilt in this post was made for a fundraiser for the quilter’s grandsons’ youth football league (Hurricane Youth Football League out of Hurricane,WV). With all of the uncertainty and restrictions during our fundraising period this quilt will be our main source of fundraising this season. #onetribe #goskins
I’ll be happy to post about it if you have a link
We do most of our advertising for fundraisers via Facebook. We do have a gofundme page setup for our light project but that is the only “link” I have. I only recently got the quilt in my hands so I have not had a chance to get the accompanying story fully finished and posted. I would like to put a link to your blog in the story once we get to publish it on Facebook if that’s okay.
The red and white quilt in today’s blog was made to support the fundraising efforts of the Hurricane Youth Football League (Hurricane, WV). My grandsons, Hayden and Mason, participate in this program and my daughter, Rebecca, is heavily involved in the program operation. Due to the pandemic, their usual fundraising efforts are thwarted. The quilting is beautiful (thank you, Be) and some one will be lucky to win it. #onetribe #goskins
that’s great! please send a link, I’ll be happy to post about it
Nicely done and I like your new quilting pattern. It’s good to have more in our arsenal so we don’t get bored with the same thing right.
