Long arm quilting a log cabin quilt

A friend from church asked me to quilt two quilts for him, a log cabin quilt he came up with himself – I think…

I sent him this picture as a tease Winking smile

And I gave it back Sunday at church, I did a lot of custom quilting on it!

Large feathers on the blue log cabin parts, then dense meandering on the beige with outlines of the items- the trees and appliqued animals, and curves on the red squares, bubbles on the inner border and a leaf vine on the outer border.

He loved it – him and his wife are both quilters, but she’s been sick for the last year and just didn’t sew much, she had surgery recently and is finally back to normal!!

Great quilt especially for the outdoor person. My son in law would love one like this….hmmmm.

  3. What a beautiful quilt! The design itself is lovely, and your quilting adds to that! I'm sure he was happy with it. I find myself wondering what the other one was! =)
