Before Christmas I quilted a few quilts.
This one is a donation quilt from my quilt guild.
I got out Leah Day’s book and tried this petal design, though it’s tricky to long arm quilt it since it was meant for the domestic machine, but once I got a rhythm going, it was okay. (it’s always fun to practice new designs on donation quilts!)
Here’s the finished quilt (without binding)
and a close up of the quilting
I also quilted my friend Laura’s quilt
I quilted feathers and swirls all over it.
They look good and yeah to you for trying a new design.
It's always nice to have another design to play with, I did one similar on table runners and maybe on a quilt too this past year, just fun to try something new.
2 great quiltings, I love pinwheel quilts
