I am happy to announce that I’ll be teaching an intro to Foundation piecing class at Capital sew and quilt in cary nc
You’ll be making your own version of this cute table runner! 13″ x 37″
(I originally called it Christmas table runner but it doesn’t have to be in Christmas fabrics as you can see)
It’s scheduled for Saturday March 23rd
from 10.30am to 2.30pm
and the fee is $49
contact the store to reserve your spot!
What you need for the class:
Obviously a sewing machine and all that goes with it
rotary cutting tools.
Scissors (fabric AND paper)
ADD A QUARTER RULER is recommended too!!
Fabric A 1/4yd
Fabric B 1/4yd
Fabric C 1 yd (border fabric too)
These are for later.
Binding 1/4yd
batting 16″ x 40″
Backing 20″ x 42″
I’ll email the pattern once I get confirmation and you’ll print the block pieces onto printer paper and bring to class.
You’ll learn how to prepare papers and fabrics for foundation piecing, then how to get started sewing fabric onto paper for PERFECT precision! once you learn it, you’ll be hooked and there’s so many cool blocks out there for foundation piecing, or you can design your own on paper or in EQ!
Foundation piecing is fun and NOT scary!!
come try it!
Hope to see you there!
How cool! I used to work in Cary. Have fun with your class.
Congratulations Bea!
Sounds like a wonderful class, which I'm sure will be fun. Love the project. All your students are sew lucky. Wish I could attend, but logistics from So. Cal. won't work for me. Maybe one day.
