Having a 45 min drive to church is good for me, I get to see and work on the binding on quilts.
So I finished a few already
I finished the bunny table runner, a kit from CT, but I changed the border a little, I believe it had a ton of different colors and I like bright colors, but this was too much, so there was enough of one fabric and I used that instead.
I quilted bubbles on the green border and a large feather on the triangles on the sides and a cruvey single feather on the outer border
on each bunny block I did a SITD sort of with a ruler and the long arm and then free motion outlined the bunnies. I also drew in the mouth and whiskers and quilted those and with pink thread I did a little detail on the bows
I finished the binding for the gingham dog quilt as well, now that we finally have the baby shower date set I will make a label for it too and add that.
again bubbles on the sashing, a corner to corner curve on the blocks, I left the doggies alone, so that part of the block kind of puffs up a little
also corner to corner on the star blocks
a lazy loop design on the border from one of leah day’s books.
it’s called flowing glass

And, remember I’m part of the wonky block bee swap!? I sent these CT fabrics to everyone and told them to make a wonky house block, this is the first one that came back, poor Christine hurt her hand so she couldn’t do the stitching around everything, I’ll do that no problem, there’s a whole lot of pieces and small ones too, but that’s okay, it’s just one block!

Now I saw a blog post about the tumbler GO! die and it makes me want to get it, but I do have the isosceles die and did make a top from that, one idea I’ve had is to cut those out but also cut out strips maybe 1 1/2″ wide and sew to the sides on the triangles, I’ve seen this look before and it’s really cute! hmm, should I add that as #33?? maybe just a scrappy thing?
Love those bunnies!!
