The kitschy quilt is finally done and I LOVE it.
You have seen in previous posts about how I wanted to add the diamond border around and I love the teal/blue binding, it add a nice frame to the quilt.
I custom quilted it, I did bubbles on the skinny borders and sashing, curves on the outside of the diamonds on the border and ruler work on the blocks.
I didn’t follow every single line in each block but outlined the main things and then did a few highlights too.
The backing was scrappy with leftovers from the front.

I decided to hang the quilt up in my studio and it looks great! it’s just SEW much fun to look at.
As I was working on the binding I was telling my husband about these BOMs and how it’s all about Betty, how Betty is so perfect, having lemonade ready for the kids and always baking cookies etc… at the end it just makes you hate Betty- he replied that maybe Betty should be a role model instead!?? well……. okay… hanging head low.. LOL

Bea, this turned out brilliantly, you got the sashing and borders dead on, in my humble opinion, and the quilting is just right too, you've been a really busy 'Bea' already this year!
