Recently I came across the SEW Kitschy BOM and thought they looked adorable and “different” so I decided to join!
Block #1 is a pot holder and oven mitt, SEW cute.
Another block I made this week is EVE for Women of the bible Block of the Week. Yes I decided to do another round and this time I’m doing blue and white.
This time I was thinking that the fabrics are more symbolic of Creation, so the Stars for heaven and earth and also the lightning, but that can also be God’s anger when he banished Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden. Or even from the pain of Eve giving birth. The light blue fabric has little people on it, so of course Adam and Eve were the first people, so I had to use that!
Love them
Beautiful work! Were are the Women of the Bible Block of the Week available?
Love the blue colors! I made a monochromatic quilt some time ago using up all my blues and loved the effect. Your quilt will be beautiful.Bobbie in SC
Oh, I like your Eve block in blue and white! That center square is perfect for your interpretation.
You chose perfect fabric choices for both blocks–two great beginnings.
Those look great Bea! I'm saving the Kitschy patterns and will try to do them soon. I don't know if I can find the time to start right away but I LOVE it!
Nice blocks. It will be fun to see how they come out.
Great blocks Bea! I saw that BOM and it was so tempting to take part. I am saving the patterns for later.
