Uhhh I can’t contain the excitement anymore!!
I’m in another magazine and this time on the COVER!!
-well my quilt is
McCall’s Quick Quilts April/may 2018
It’s called Chasing Rainbows
It does NOT have a border, they just mounted that for the picture
It measures 30” x 40” and is made with a 2 1/2” strip set from Island Batik called Paisley Dot Bright strips.
and then I used the chisel die (carefully) from the 8” Accuquilt QUBE companion set or you can use a template provided in the magazine!
(of course I used warm and natural batting too!)
You can get the pattern here, if you don’t want the magazine
I do have ONE extra magazine that I’ll sign and mail to one lucky person
I like to both work with and collect 2-1/2" strips
I have a small collection right now. But I do love working with the 2 1/2" strips.
Congratulations, that is a beautiful quilt and no one would know if was made with precuts. I tend to collect them, but very seldom use them. Again, congrats my dear!
That is so awesome….congrats!!!
Yeah for the cover girl!! Very nice.
Oh, how exciting for you! it's perfect for the cover, so bright and cheery. I love cutting up 2.5" strips for future projects. One just never knows when you'll need them!
Congrats, Cover Girl! I like strips, and need more patterns for some that I've collected over the years. Great design.
congrats!Funquilt design
Both! I collect them and use them! Now I need to collect some more 😉 Great quilt!
I like working with 2 1/2" strips. Your quilt looks fantastic! Congratulations on being published!
I mostly collect 2 1/2" strips, but I have aspirations of working with them! (Eventually, when I'm finished looking at them with admiration.)
Congratulations, cover girl! I saw the quilt on the McCall's Quilting blog yesterday and pinned it to one of my Pinterest boards. All the while I was thinking, "I know the designer, I read her blog!"(I'm a no-reply blogger to keep the spam down. You can find my email address on my blog or the contact page on handcraftingwithlove.net where the link is coded to hide it from the robot email harvesters.)
I want to use them, but actually end up collecting.bah1977@yahoo.com
Congratulations Bea, I will be on the look out for the magazine in my LQS.
How exciting for you! Congratulations!! I have to admit I have collected my fair share of jelly rolls. I need to step up and start using them… I just hate to cut into those beautiful rolls though!
Congratulations!!!!! Nice quilt. I like 2.5" strips, but, I like to pre-wash all my fabrics, so, I tend to cut them myself. I've had too many problems with unwashed fabrics bleeding. I only use precuts with a dark background.
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your cover. I do like using the 2.5 inch strips.
Congratulations on the magazine cover! It’s a great quilt and really simple!
Congrats!!!
Congratulations your quilt is beautiful! I do like using 2 1/2" strip but I don't buy them I make them from fabric I have leftover from other projects.
I love this quilt, Bea! I've never bought a set or roll of strips. Always just cut them myself from too much stash!
Your quilt is beautiful. I love the colors.
Congratulations! You deserve that for all of your hard work!
