Recently I signed up for another local craft show (indoors and one I haven’t been to before)
At the last craft show I had the tiny owl keyrings/stuffies/pincushions but I used to have several larger stuffed animals, so I figured I’d work on a few here and there and not stress about it.
First I started with this owl from Dolls and Daydreams in the 5×7 hoop size
the feet were hard to turn and I couldn’t stuff them, so I figured I’d instead do the BIGGEST owl I could make which is in the 8×12 hoop!
Here’s one in a pink owl woodsy print and brown and orange felt features
another in a teal/brown batik print I had leftover from Island Batik! and brown and teal features
Then a yellow and dark purple owl (it looks black on here but it’s dark purple)
and one with this batik print from Singapore!
and another in green and purple
I can’t remember if I shared this yet or not, but I sorted my fabric shelves into yardage sizes instead of by color, so I have a pile called 1/4-1/2yd (just under 1/2yd), 1/2yd to 1, etc…. so for these owls I needed 9″ WOF so it was easy to grab from the first pile, I did have a pile for under 1/4yd but I seem to put that with scraps or cut up right away for eyeglass cases….
Such sweet and happy owls.
