I LOVE my sewing machine(s)
Especially my straight stitch Juki Haruka!! It’s my work horse!!
My “normal” sewing machine is a Janome MC7700 that’s rather big and has fancy stitches, I don’t use it much unless I’m making bowls or need other stitches, but it’s always out on my table on the opposite side of the table.
My long arm is a JUKI as well, I like it okay, I LOVE the automation with Quilter’s Creative Touch (QCT) but I don’t care for my frame that much, I feel like it’s not straight or the bars flex too much even though I’ve added conduit pipes to make the bar stiffer, and I think the sensor for automation is a bit too slow, nothing bad, just tiny annoyances…. another long arm I WOULD LIKE to get is 30K! I will of course sell my current setup then and that will help the cost, we’ll see though.
I also have a Brother 6 needle embroidery machine and then 2 back up sewing machines, or maybe 3? One is Solveig’s, one is a CHEAP machine from Costco that works in a pinch.
To celebrate national sewing machine day I have my “All tied up” Spool wall hanging pattern on sale for $8!
I also have KITS
and look at this new die from Accuquilt– I have the die but haven’t made anything yet
What sewing machine(s) do you have and how do you like it/them?
I have a Baby Lock Unity sewing/embroidery machine that I love, and a Viking Diamond sewing embroidery machine that I bought used for a backup, which is also great. I also have a Baby Lock Ovation serger and a 1948 Singer Featherweight! I have a Baby Lock Coronet longarm on a 8-foot Villa frame and today I’m supposed to receive my Pro-Stitcher Lite longarm software for it!!!!! I had a Viking Opal that my youngest son now has and a Baby Lock Evolution serger that my oldest daughter now has (she has been bitten severely by the quilting bug and purchased a used longarm and an embroidery machine. My mom (deceased) was a home ec teacher and I’m sure she’s smiling! Happy Sewing Machine Day!!!!
I have a Janome CM17, Janome 9450, and a Janome Compulock serger. They are the ones I use most and I really like Janome machines. The support I have available through a local shop is excellent. I also have a Pfaff Hobby Grand Quilter on an old long arm frame which I don’t use much (it’s in the basement), and a Singer from the 1990’s. The Singer is the first machine I owned and I would never get rid of it. It has the most perfect straight stitch! I still use it occasionally.
Happy National Sewing Machine Day!
I have an Epic (the first one) that I use for embroidering, and next to it is a Husqvarna 980Q which is my workhorse machine! I use that one for all my quilting. The Epic is the exact same machine except with the embroidery and I leave it set up for embroidery at all times. They are up to the Epic 3 now, and I’m tempted because it’s sweet – but the price is $21,999.99. Whew! I don’t make any money sewing, so I can’t justify that!
