Today Dan is turning 55! (old man…. just kidding)
We’ve been married over 25 years now thru ups and downs, but he’s a keeper! I totally admire him for taking care of his parents before they passed away, to say this year has been hard is an under statement! But it’s a new chapter in our lives now, it’s taken some time to get over it all, I think we all have some sort of PTSD from it all, but try to laugh at things when memories pop up.
Dan is fixing up the cottage they lived in, it was our house, which we purchased for them during the height of Covid because they were prisoners at the independent living place, so now we’ll rent it out, it’s a cute small house and we’re thinking of short term leasing it, like for traveling nurses or maybe someone waiting on their house to be built up the road as our county is exploding with construction of new houses! I think they said that within 10 years our town will quadruple! -we’re not really fans of that, we like our little country town and rural living, it’s turning into more urban and suburban now. But, hey, a plus about it, will be renting out the cottage 🙂
