It’s for the birds blog hop and giveaway

itsforthebirds2

I’m part of the Birds blog hop! YAY….

Recently I was part of a blog hop with IHAN and I WON a CD set for my embroidery machine from Anitagoodesign

So when I signed up for this blog hop I knew I wanted to make something from the CD and picked this cute humming bird block.

P1030303

Here’s the machine stitching it out- it was cool to do the whole block in the hoop!

P1030298

Look how fast it’s going Smile 800 stitches per minute

(It can go 1000 but I like 800)

P1030299

Here’s the finished pin cushion/ mini pillow.

I stuffed it with walnut shells

P1030302

P1030307

I tried to have my little model pose with it Smile

P1030305

Recently I had another BIRD quilt in McCall’s

It’s called Chicks Rule, look here about the post

I’ve also made LOTS of owl pin cushions the last few years

Click here for a tutorial using a FONS and PORTER pattern
