It’s a Jungle blog hop

It’s a Jungle out there!

When Joan at Mooosestashquilting announced this blog hop, I signed up right away and had an IDEA!

I have this Palm leaf die from Accuquilt and used it once to make the black and green wall hanging below and haven’t used it since (which happens with a lot of my BOB dies)

It’s a cool die that makes a 8″ Fin. block, something I don’t think I would try to even foundation paper piece!

So for this hop I wanted to make SOMETHING with this die again!

so of course I sketches in EQ8 and came up with this

and then I started cutting and sewing!

I used 1yd linen white,

3/4yd red,

1/2yd green,

1/4yd yellow with tiny dots on it,

the Palm die and the 8″ QUBE set

Here’s everything cut

then I started sewing everything together

and quickly I had 10 of each block made

then sewn together into a top and I added a 2″ Fin. border so it finishes 36″ x 44″

Here it is quilted and bound!

Have a look around the other blog hop participants and thanks for Joan again for hosting!

  1. This turned out really beautiful and totally gives off jungle vibes. Thanks for sharing, Bea!

  2. So glad you pulled out that Accuquilt fern die to make another quilt! The colors you chose represent the vibrant jungle colors so well. I can just imagine all the flowing ferns in the thick of the jungle!

  3. I really like red, yellow and green quilts. The simplicity makes the pattern so much more striking. Yours is great!

  4. What a lovely quilt. That cutter is amazing. I enjoyed seeing this quilt in all of the cut pieces.
