It might have seen like I didn’t care about the kids when I was gone to Denmark, as I kept texting my husband Friday if I got any deliveries!!- I had tracking # that my new island batik box would be delivered Friday- where I left Thursday, so at least I had something positive to think about there someone in our ambassador FB group noticed that the box was 22Lbs!!
Sure enough, it was a BIG heavy box!! SQUEAL!!!
-I had seen fabrics from other ambassadors and also knew the sponsors for the year, but still it’s SO much fun to open up MY box and see what’s in it!!
This was the spot on the shelf where I USED to put my former IB ambassador boxes, no way it would fit in there anymore.
I decided to NOT do a video this time around, so instead I took lots of pictures.
The first thing I saw was Hobbs Heirloom batting (Twin sized) I’ve never worked with Hobbs, so this should be fun!
Uhh look at all the goodies!!
To start off there were 4 spools of thread (I found more later)
Now these are bright colors and other ambassadors noticed that they match their surprise bundles, so that got me excited! I haven’t had a bright “rainbow” bundle before.
There’s several aurifil booklets in there, I assume for giveaways?
Then a Valentine/Galentine’s bundle- but I used my leftovers already, we’ll see if I whip up something else this month!
Then a fun Christmas bundle
(I have some of these fabrics leftover from last year’s boxes- but we just got a few FQs I believe)
Here I found more threads and another pack of 5” strips
Here’s a better picture of the batting
and a sample book! I love sample books, I love to feel and look at samples- call me crazy, but I love it.
and a thermore batting that’s queen sized, I’ve also never worked with this, it’s super thin, because it doesn’t take up much space at all, so can’t wait to try this!
And some coordinating yardage, a neutral, some rayon and a SCARF! cool!!
and a 10” square bundle of blue winter fabrics with matching yardage, I love blues!!
and a surprise with island batik buttons and an envelope for making and returning a kennel quilt out of the surprise fabrics
Here’s everything! Can’t wait to cut into these goodies!!
Once I took the batting over where I store my other batting, the fabrics fit just fine on the empty spot on the shelf!! (Last year’s fabrics are in the bins on the right)
Thank you Island Batik for letting me be an Ambassador AGAIN for my 4th year!

Yep, last years fabrics are in the bin…..I don't even have a place for my new fabrics, they are still in the box. Love all of your goodies.
So much fun these boxes are! Can’t wait to see what you create with these. You must really enjoy the IB experience – this is my first year….terribly excited and praying I can do it well.
Enjoy! Wiating to see the projects inspired by this wonderful fabric.
My first box just arrived this morning, Bea, so I now understand all the excitement opening one of these fabulous boxes of goodies. Loved seeing yours, and now the real fun starts 🙂
What a wonderful stash of batiks each year. Batiks are my favorite things! I use a lot of them. I look forward to seeing what you make with this year's fabulous offerings!
