I made a little coffee purse

I got tired of my mini purse and decided to make another purse instead.

I like that it’s bigger and the fusible interfacing or stabilizer I had on hand was from “who-knows-where” so it’s really stiff!!

The pattern had directions for a zippered pocket on the inside and I never tried this method before and my GUT was telling me to center it with the left half of the lining like I did with the front pocket (minus seam allowance) but I double checked and it didn’t mention it, so I made it and sure enough the zipper is not centered! Grr…. oh well, it’s on the inside, but still…..

Late I put a snap on the outer pocket too and the inside of the snap is inside that inside pocket. I like to keep my car keys in the outer pocket because my car is just a button so I don’t need to hold the keys, I just need to have them with me!

Anyways, it’s a nice purse!

  1. We learn by doing! This is so cute. I love your fabric choice, too. It’s not too late to run a row of topstitching around the edge of the opening if you like.
