Last week I met two of my close friends for lunch (my ol’ gym buddies) It was to celebrate my birthday late and Heather’s early (which is today) it was an impromptu plan, so I then thought about “whipping” something together for Heather and made her 2 bowl cozies with the Accuquilt die, super easy because I can lay the two fabrics and 2 layers of batting on the die and cut out one cozy at a time! It’s a Bad picture but she liked them.
I also finished my 1 skein crocheted scarf, took me about 2 weeks to “whip” together 🙂 I can’t find the pattern now on my phone and threw away the wrapper for the skein so don’t know the name of it.
I also had some fabric squares prepped for mask making and instead of putting them in my scrap bin, they were perfect for the embroidery machine so I made 2 more owl pincushions- though no plan for them, no more pincushion swaps and no more craft shows!
Now the opposite of whipping something together quickly is something like this, a gazillion little pieces of scraps turned into a quilt, I’ll see how it looks when I get done, if I like it, I’ll turn it into a pattern. Of course after cutting out all the pieces my scrap bins are still full to the brim! How does that happen??
Ok, so I pretty much “whipped” the top together already, but shhhh, it was supposed to be a slow project, I just can’t help myself once I get started! But I did get more fabrics coming in this week, some for Accuquilt, some for me, so wait and see 😉
You had a busy, busy week! And I bet very fulfilling 🙂 Everything looks fantastic!
