I AM here :-)

I am here and it’s been slow, but I AM sewing and quilting.

This is sort of a secret block! shh…. more about that next week.

I feel I can show it, because it’s too small anyways for what it’s intended for.

I’m also showing you another “secret”

This is the #2 quilt for McCall’s, I’m almost done quilting it, I’m doing feathers around the border, it’s hard to tell, but I had to stop because I stitched the vein in the feather then started going back up with feathers and realized it was the wrong way! so I’m ripping those out now. SIGH! you can kind of see the other feathers at the top how they are supposed to go DOWNWARD.

Also saturday we had the craft show at school, for me it went fine, I earned some $$. But that whole event and first setting up friday afternoon, then a dinner at some friends’ house, then back at the school at 7.30am and didn’t get home until 4pm, I was TIRED, didn’t take a nap though, and sunday is our usual church and running around, so yesterday morning after the kids went to school I went back to bed and woke up at 11.30! I guess I needed it, but then my whole “sewing” day was pretty much gone, since I do the most sewing and stuff before lunch time.

I did play a little in EQ7, electric quilt has another challenge up about auto borders, so I played with those, I may do more until I decide which 2 to send in.

I saw this fun auto border, there actually is a white border behind the diamond shapes.

we were supposed to start with the border and then design the quilt from that.

Another were some fun piano keyes

and a totally girly flirty border here.

In small it would look really cute.

I added a dark skinny border to frame it in, maybe even just a dark binding would do the trick though.
