Hello Fall Blog Hop

Does it feel like fall where you’re at yet? No?? Maybe this blog hop will help put you in the fall mood at least 🙂

Thanks to Carla for hosting this!

I love the colors of fall, I love the leaves changing colors especially here in NC, but with quilting, I don’t often use fall/muted colors, as I love brights more, but I HAVE made some fall quilts over the years in fall colors 🙂

This time I designed a pattern for this hop too called Interlocking leaves

and it’s on sale for $5 this week, during the hop!

The Quilt is a table topper size at 21″ x 21″ and the leaves are made with scraps and the 6″ QUBE set from Accuquilt (though my pattern provides rotary cutting directions too)

Most of my fall scraps were solids or batiks so I worked with what I had, and then I had a bit of brown for the border.

I quilted it with variegated brown and light brown thread and a design called hot cocoa – fitting right??

A fun and fast quilt to make!

Here’s the rest of the blog hop participants if you haven’t seen them already, there’s always lots of inspiration!

  1. I’ve been trying not to buy anything quilty until I actually have some time to sew, but this pattern is a real temptation!

  2. Great piece, love your fall color choices for the leaves. Your quilting really makes them pop.

  3. Nice design that can be used with so many different fabrics, bright or muted, etc. Love that quilting design, too!

  5. What a great pattern, Bea! Tessellating designs are a challenge for me to put together (with all the pieces going the right direction, at least.) Your quilt is SEW perfect for the Hop!

  6. This is a great modern take on leaves. Great pattern! Thanks for joining the Hello Fall Blog Hop. Your quilting is definitely a winner!

  7. This is really beautiful, Bea, and your quilting looks amazing. I love your design and fabric combo! Thanks for sharing!

I love your tessellating leaves and the testers did a great job too (I have been seeing a few of them out there)!

  10. What a beautiful little quilt you made for the hop. I didn’t participate in this hop. Det gikk med hus forbi – as we say in Norway. But I’m working with the things for the next.
