I KNEW I needed to clean out the bobbin area of my machine and finally did it this weekend!
Uh oh!!
It’s a wonder I could still sew!
Look at all that lint!!
(hanging head low in shame)
While I was at it, I organized my lay susan with my sewing tools, it’s from pampered chef btw
On Ozark fabrics, they have a spotlight and giveaway once in a while.
I won this OWL bag!! isn’t it cute?
I’ve been making bags too, my daughter is turning 9 soon, so this weekend she’ll have a sleepover party, so I decided to make these bags as party favor bags and embroider the girls names on them, the pink bag, it’s hard to tell the name, but it’s there
The tutorial for the bags are here
And I’m finishing up another “secret” project, if you follow along with my PROJECTS you might guess what these binding strip rolls are for!!
and this is another SECRET project for November, wait and see!
Now little sister got big sister to play her hide and seek game in the cabinet behind my sewing area. – My “studio” is a bonus room with a wet bar where I have the embroidery machine and Go cutter on top.
and Next week is the EQ Autumn Appliqued Animals Blog hop
(so I’m skipping EQ Tutorial Tuesday this week)
Now GO clean your sewing machine!!
Shame on you:)I'm surprised the machine even stitched with that much lint. LOL.
But then again…I'd rather be sewing than cleaning my machine too:)
Oh no…..better go clean mine since I can't remember when I did it last. Your girls are so cute!! Miss have little ones around.
But I don't want to go clean my sewing machine. *stomps feet
it is amazing how those dust bunnies find their way into our machines ….. one would think it was too loud in there to set up house. lolThe girls will love the bags I am sure, and with their names they will love them a little more.have a great dayin stitches
I'm forced to clean mine out frequently because my machine will just stop sewing on me if I don't.
I did just recently clean mine and it was time. I could never find the right screwdriver to loosen the screws and finally had my daughter's boyfriend work on it. He managed to get them loose for me so I could take off the throat plate and give it a good cleaning. I wasn't having any sewing problems and it doesn't sew any different but I still was glad I was finally able to clean it.
Wow girlfriend that is a LOT of lint. Now I know to bug you more often to clean it. I can tell by the sound when I'm behind on cleaning Lucy but I've been a lot better lately with doing it more often.
