It’s interesting that a National Holiday like Columbus Day is now so hated or even renamed or removed.
It’s a day to celebrate or commemorate Columbus discovering the United States (really the Caribbean Islands) and then later to celebrate European settlers, but it seems like that’s a bad thing nowadays. And in schools, students are being taught that he and his crew murdered lots of natives and robbed them etc. But if you read up on it, it’s not true at all.
Oh and BTW it was the Vikings who discovered the Americas first from Europe, like Erik the Red, but that’s hardly mentioned.
All that aside, I don’t know if you have noticed that each day I have a different KIT on sale in my shop
I’m trying something different this quarter by putting a different KIT on sale each day, I may not always mention it here, so you’d have to visit and have a look and see which one it is!
Today it’s Martha’s Stillness
I love it in these modern Christmas colors!!
I know it’s hard to see the different version with this white background color
Take a look at the KITS and check back every day for other KITS on sale!!
I agree with you 100% on the movement to remove historical figures from our memories, or to teach future generations how dishonorable they were when that is not the case (or no facts). Rewriting history is not good for any culture, regardless of the good or the bad.
