So last week, I was sorting thru old hard drives and CDs on old pics etc and backing them up.
I was getting all nostalgic at pics of the kids!
Here’s Bjorn as a newborn in 2002
and Solveig in 2004
And look at some things I made over the years too.
Crocheting was my first hobby.
those are crocheted socks-not knitted btw (so more like slipper socks)
I forgot I pained too and I made that rug too.
I made the kids into a “demented” blue bunny and a pink mouse
Totally forgot about this dress, don’t know who I gave it to, nor which pattern I used.
Still have this wool jacket and hat, just missing a button
I made two matching outfits for Solveig and her friend- again this outfit I must have given away.
Must be one my first quilts I worked on
This picture always make me laugh!
Don’t remember this brown outfit either
I still have scraps of this POOH fabric!! LOL
And look at her quilt all NEW!! it’s in rags now (I’ve shown it before)
I forgot about this one too
I think we have this dress and the “S” would still work for Sonja (if I can find the outfit- may be too small now)
totally forgot I made this for my mom
and this dress is gone too
my first appliqued quilt, still have it, I remember the technique with freezer paper and I had to cut fabric away from the bottom to remove the paper, never tried this method since then
Oh this border fabric still haunts me in my black scrap bin! my mom had curtain in this fabric and brought fabrics over so I could make a matching quilt
Forgot about this quilt too- I gave a lot of my first quilts to our old church to give away.
I remember this ugly bunny fabric and how I turned it into a fussy cut quilt.
and some “awww” Christmas pics.
Now here’s the REAL reason why I was looking at old pics.
I needed to find some of PEANUT to make an album on shutterfly.
A tribute to Peanut!
We had to put him down almost 2 weeks ago, as he got really sick toward the end and it was just cruel to keep going.
He lived a good life.
He was 7 1/2 which is typical life span for a Bullmastiff and he got lymphoma at the end and was also almost blind, he slept 99% of the day and we had to push him out the door to go eat, so it was time to go.
We were all a bit sad for a few days, but it was the right time.
here’s the last pic of him.
Awe such sweet memories. Sorry for your loss.
Memories are so precious Bea,what wonderful photos!!! I am so sorry about Peanut….I always enjoyed seeing him in your posts.
It's fun to look back sometimes. You have beautiful children
Oh so sorry for your loss of Peanut. I know how it feels to lose a "family member" pet. We lost our bullmastiff Missy one week before we lost my beloved father-in-law. She was as much his dog as ours and we did not have the heart to tell him she had passed. It was as if she wanted to go first to wait for him. She was 10 and was slowing down but as it turned out, she had a heart attack while I was away fabric shopping. I think I cried for two weeks. But nostalgia is a good thing.
The children are adorable. I'm sorry for the loss of you dog, please accept my sympathy, it's never easy. Hugs
So fun to see the pictures of your children and the things you have made over the years. So sorry about the loss of your dog.
I backed up photos 2 years ago it was nostalgic. Crochet was one of my first crafts as a kid. Sorry about Peanut. Hope your family is doing OK with your loss.
I'm so sorry about Peanut. It is never easy to say goodbye to a fur baby.
