Uhhh, it was so hard to keep this a secret!
I’m in McCall’s again AND on the front page!!
(well my quilt of course- not ME)
I’m so THRILLED! I totally didn’t expect that
Here’s the quilt: Chick’s RULE!
click here to see it on McCall’s site to puchase the magazine and here to see my quilt pattern, with lessons on fusible applique.
connecting threads sent me wonderful batiks!
Of course I designed this in EQ7!!
Now the pattern in McCall’s actually shows machine applique but I did needle turn since I was pregnant and needed to sit a lot 🙂
here’s the start of the blocks
little feet
block parts
and chicks having a bath afterwards 🙂
alternate blocks done
here’s the finished quilt
chicks rule!
close up of crazy chick- the eyes are all different too
the quilt was inspied by my daughter’s shirt – a light blue shirt with a chick and the words “chicks rule”
