I finished this table runner made using my french braid pattern, but I just made 3 of the main blocks and I used a smaller QUBE
It measures 19″ x 42″ and I used the 5″ QUBE instead of the 6″ QUBE.
I quilted daffodils all over it, because… why not??
For the back I used some light green and then a strip of the farm animal fabric and now I’m out of the snimal fabric, unless I put some aside for backing for another quilt, I’ll have to look
As you can see the french braid star quilt is square (or a large rectangle) and has a lot of negative space.
If you want to try the pattern it’s on sale for $8 until Sunday!
The pattern includes the two sizes, but the main part is how the braid blocks are made, then it’s easy enough to make 3 of those blocks and turn them into a table runner!
I also have KITS available here
with each kit you get enough fabric to make the top and binding, the small size finishes 42″ x 42″
normal price is $49 on sale now until Sunday for $35!
this is the fall version
made with these fabrics (minus the fruit and the peach color)
here’s the winter version
made with these fabrics (minus the yellow and white bee fabrics)
and the large finishes 42″ x 66″
normal price is $61 on sale for $44
made with the same fabrics as above
Not what I expected when I saw the name of the pattern, but that’s one of the things I like about your patterns. You do the unexpected! I don’t know which colorway I like the best, but I like the block a lot … and daffodils! Why not, indeed! Sometimes I forget you can make something smaller, too!
