So since I finished a bunch of orange blocks over the weekend, yesterday I was itching to try my new fleur the lis accuquilt die, so I figured WHY not make 4 blocks and catch up on the Jan-march blocks with this die and of course do an april block too.
So I cut out 4 different squares and added heat n bond to the back of them and put them all thru the cutter!
Then I had some light grey fabric I cut to 6 1/2” squares (cut all 12 so I have them)
and I decided to do a small zig zag around them
here’s all 4 done!
easy peasy
(They are really not THAT wrinkled in real life)
You know what though, I also have the sunbonnet sue and the owl die that would be really cute in the Color of the month!
The sunbonnet sue I have the embroidery CD too, it can add some neat stitching on each, so hmmmmm
Should I do it?
(BTW I cut into yardage for the orange)
I must be “bored”, actually I do need to start an april project for Island Batik AND a project for accuquilt for May, but I got 24 days right!?
I've started using more of my Accuquilt cutters and I'm loving it!
The fleur de lis blocks are adorable. My daughter-in-law would love a quilt with these blocks.
Should I do it? My answer – do what makes you happy!
