I finished the timeless stitch star quilt top this weekend and this morning.
it has lots of paper piecing and template work, but it’s less than 40″ so not too bad.
it looks cool, but I don’t want to show it to you YET 🙂
Last week I went to a local hospital to see a friend from church, she’s been in a out of the hostpital since Christmas, hopefully she’ll get to go home friday.
anyways, I was looking at some quilts I had around and found this one and gave it to her.
She was so happy, she got all emotional…
it’s a blazing star quilt, using the Go! cutter and the blazing star die by eleanor burns.
it’s a very cool die, a bit tricky to learn, since some have all right side up, some are half right side up, half wrong side up, but I made a practice block and figured it out the hard way 🙂 so I didn’t make any mistakes with this one.
I picked fabrics from one line of fabric, I should have picked something with more contrast. it looks a lot better in person and I quilted little feathers in the points of the stars or one half and sort of SID on the othe half.
