Finally finished the swoon quilt

I can finally cross this one off my list!

The Swoon block from the block swap I hosted last year, is finally done!!

it’s a BIG quilt, 83 x 83”

I long arm quilted holly leaves and berries all over it in white thread.

Hopefully you can see the video here:

Since the quilt was so big I decided to machine stitch the binding down, it’s not perfect, but pretty good 🙂

the backing is all scrappy, I used a nativity scene fabric in the middle and then used different greens and reds around it

and I machine embroidered a label with all the participants names on it!

Those of you who were part of it, have you completed yours? link up below if you blogged about it or even to a flikr(picture host) to show your progress.

it’s been a fun swap! I kind of want to do something like this again, but it’s all about the time….

  6. So pretty! Thanks again for organizing the swap. I have my top and backing ready, but probably won't get it on the longarm until maybe Thanksgiving, lol. School and customer quilts get in the way!

Lovely! I've been thinking about another holiday bed quilt. Love this block.
