It’s time for block L for the Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along!
Block L is the 2nd block in row 3, it’s block #27 in the book which is named darting birds, it’s on page 64 and 154
On page 64 a farmer’s wife talks about how busy she is but still has time to read and write and going to concerts, that it’s all about management. It’s true in my life, for homeschooling we have a schedule, for my quilting I have deadlines and I have lists, but when it comes to chores and cleaning I don’t and I don’t do them well! I once had an app that told me daily chores to do, and it did help, but it seemed like a lot too, I might go back to it….. Do you have lists for chores?
I used the 6″ QUBE to get 9″ blocks.
In Medium Blue fabrics cut out 4 of shape #2
4 of shape #3
16 of shape #5
in light blue fabrics cut out 4 of shape #2
and 24 of shape #5
sew 3 of #5 light blue to the blue #2 squares AND make 16 HSTs out of #5 triangles in light and medium blue
add more light blue #5 triangles
then add the medium blue #3 triangles to the 4 sections as shown and also sew 4 sets of 2 small HSTs together like this 4 in reverse of the other 4
and then sew the 4 blocks together like this
and lastly sew the 4 blocks together into the main block.
