It’s time for block #3 for the Farmer’s Wife QAL
This block is #12 in the book called Broken Sugar Bowl
In Grey, and Light Blue cut out 4 each of die #3
In Grey, Light Blue and Dark Blue cut out 4 each of die #2
In Dark Blue cut out 2 of die #2
Make 2 sets of four patches with 1 dark blue, 2 light blue and 1 grey as shown with #2 squares
also make a four patch with 2 dark blue and 2 grey #2 squares
and make 4 large HSTs with the grey and light blue #3 triangles
sew them together into rows like this (2 identical on the left)
then sew the block together like this.
The letter written by this block on page 76 tells of a city girl marrying a farmer and adjusting to the list, at first hating it and then later getting to love it.
We have lived in a tiny neighborhood out in the country since my son was in Kindergarten (so 14 years ago??) our town is 10 min away and then bigger cities are 30 min away and whenever I go there I always get so annoyed and tense, I don’t like the crowds, the traffic, the busyness of it all, I always breathe easier when I drive west on the highway toward home. I do remember thinking we were SO far out when we first moved here, it’s funny how things change like that.
Is anyone playing along? I don’t see any comments on any link ups!! Please comment and let me know!
Hello Bea, I would like to join in on this quilt along. I have had the book for quite a few years, but have only sewn a few blocks. I do have a number of projects in the works, but what the heck, huh? I read some of your previous posts – I am glad that you and your family did not get the “jab”. I did not either. Let no man deceive you Matthew 24:4, 1 John 3:7
