Fall block swap top done and more wonky housese

I received another wonky house in the mail the other day

it’s really cute 🙂

I also got the brown fabrics for this fall leaf block swap I was part of maybe 2 yrs ago, these blocks are HUGE….I think we all got 24, but I used 18 which is more than enough.

I first added the sashing and triangles for the edges, had to trim those carefully.

then added the borders, I really relied on EQ a lot, since the triangles were cut on the bias, the measurement could vary by 1″ or so depending on if I stretched it or not, so I made the strips just like EQ said and no buckling or folds, I started from the middle, added a few pins, then lined up the sides and then pinned the rest in between.

And happy belated Easter!

friday night we went to the local highschool to watch a PASSION play, 20 local churches put on this show, it was great and well made, my daughter cried in my lap (me too) when Jesus was nailed to the cross, the hammering was SO loud and powerful! She asked me if it was real, I told her NO, this is not real, but Jesus really DID get nailed to the cross like that 2000 years ago, like it says in the bible.

Sunday morning I had a little treat for the kids, a stuffed egg and some chocolates and we went to church too of course- we invited our new neighbors to come along too and they seemed to enjoy it.

look! the stuffed eggs turn inside out and turn into a chick or a bunny (pink)

reminded me of the “pupples” from the 80s cartoon show, don’t know what they were called over here, but I had one of these green things that turned into a soft ball if you turned him inside out or outside in, you know what I mean 🙂

Sunday, a friend from church gave me a huge box of hand me down baby girl clothes! it was so nice and all super cute! this girl is not going to need anymore clothes.
